Rebecca is the Events Coordinator at Euro-IX, since 2015. Her role involves organising and coordinating forums alongside Euro-IX member hosts in Europe and assisting in the operational activities at Euro-IX. Rebecca holds an MA in International Relations and Globalisation, and has extensive international experience in event and project management for universities and charities.

Service Provider Networking Product Sales Specialist for the South Eastern Europe Region.  Specialised in MPLS and Segment Routing technologies. Been with Cisco for 11 years, before that worked for Tier 2 SP’s.

Rene Duhr is a Senior Account Manager with Interxion in Austria. Over the last three years Rene has tremendously contributed to the success and expansion of the carrier hub in Interxion Vienna through the acquisition of strategic carriers in the CEE region.
Rene has been engaged over the last 25 years in business and management roles in several industries such as Telecom, IT, IT outsourcing and Carrier in different countries. He could bring his rich sales experience of the different industries to the Connectivity and Colocation business. He was involved in major carrier expansion projects in Vienna and with his team he could provide a fruitful corporation with the international carriers.

Tomas Hlavacek works for CZ.NIC as a R&D programmer. He contributes to several Open Source projects both outside and within CZ.NIC and his focus is Internet routing, measurements and statistics.

Mario Klobucar is working in SRCE (University Computing Centre, University of Zagreb) as a head of the network department and he is in charge of all network activities including the CIX (Croatian Internet eXchange).

He was involved in building, operations and maintenance of the Croatian academic and research network (CARNet).

Mirjam Kuhne is the Senior Community Builder at the RIPE NCC, a role she?s held since 2009. She collaborates with various technical, security and academic peers within her extensive professional network to strengthen the Internet community within the RIPE NCC?s service region.

Mirjam also maintains and curates RIPE Labs, a collaborative platform that supports innovative ideas and tools for the Internet.

Harald is in charge of the operational coordination of the Austrian Academic Computer Network ACOnet (www.aco.net) and the Vienna Internet eXchange VIX (www.vix.at). Harald is also an active participant of international working groups within RIPE and Euro-IX and the community of NREN operators. He has been a board member of Euro-IX since October 2013 and also one of the co-authors of the IXP-wishlist (www.euro-ix.net/ixp-wishlist), a document that defines features that should be supported by network-equipment for running an IXP.

Arnold Nipper is Chief Technology Evangelist (CTE) and Co-Founder of DE-CIX. Before that he served as DE-CIX? CTO/COO for more than 15 years. Since 12/2008 Arnold is involved in PeeringDB and since PeeringDB being an association he is Director of PeeringDB as well. Until 11/2016 Arnold was also Director of Euro-IX

Arnold Nipper is one of the Internet pioneers in Germany and has almost 30
years work experience. He was instrumental in setting up one of the first
commercial ISP in Germany, was involved in setting up the DE-NIC and
co-founded RIPE in 1989.

As a big Open Source and Linux enthusiast, Davor Popović enjoys
working on everything Linux-related – from administering and
developing userspace applications on Linux systems to developing Linux
support for embedded devices, primarily routers.  Davor was one of
Sartura’s  first employees and aside from engineering tasks, he is
also simultaneously involved in business development as well as in
education and mentorship roles. Additionally, the dynamic nature of
the job also includes running projects in telecom sector.

Richard Tang founded Zen (www.zen.co.uk) back in 1995, with the internet in its infancy and just a few thousand pounds in the bank. Today, Zen is a £71m business, providing networking, connectivity, cloud and voice solutions to over 100,000 customers throughout the UK.

But Richard’s founding, people-first, principles remain just as strong today as they did over 23 years ago. Richard believes in a fairer way of doing business, in putting people before profits. And as Zen’s sole shareholder, Richard ensures that these principles will always remain the cornerstone of his business.

Walt Wollny is the Director of Interconnection Strategy. Supporting Hurricane Electric global network reach to over 44 countries and over 179 Internet Exchanges. Focus on global connectivity and new markets. Walt has been working in the in the Internet industry for over 20 years. Before Hurricane Electric, Walt was an IP Business Development Manager at Amazon supporting over 64 new CDN builds including new markets including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, Philippines and Australia.
